Your Opportunity to Lead a Dynamic and Forward-Thinking Faculty
The Faculty of Remote, Rural and Humanitarian Healthcare of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is committed to supporting and advancing healthcare professionals working in some of the most challenging environments worldwide. Through its initiatives, the Faculty provides a platform for support, education and professional development tailored to the unique demands of delivering healthcare in these often resource-limited settings.
With a diverse and rapidly growing membership and a range of strategic partners, the Faculty is well positioned to drive innovation and advance best practices in remote, rural, and humanitarian healthcare. The recent introduction of Membership and Fellowship by assessment further reinforces the Faculty’s commitment to recognising and promoting excellence in the field.
The Faculty is pleased to invite applications for the position of Chair. We are committed to recruiting the most suitable candidate based solely on their abilities, qualifications, experience, and merit, as measured against the role description and person specification.
The Chair role is open to current members, including Affiliates, Members and Fellows of the Faculty in good standing. There is no requirement to have previously served on the Executive Committee.
If you are passionate about leading a dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking Faculty, we encourage you to apply. Please download the application pack or contact FRRHH@rcsed.ac.uk for more information and an informal discussion about the role.
