John Duncan trained in Aberdeen, Boston and Sheffield before becoming a general and vascular surgeon in Inverness for 25 years. He spent a further five years as the head of teaching for The University of Aberdeen in Inverness. Clinically he initiated aortic aneurysm screening in Scotland, demonstrating its effectiveness in remote and rural settings. He was awarded an OBE for services to healthcare in the north of Scotland in 2015. In the College he spent 11 years on the Council, holding the posts of Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President. He is in the process of writing a modern history of the College.

Professor Farhat Din is a Senior Lecturer with The University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on colorectal cancer prevention by investigating the molecular mechanisms of the anti-tumour effects of chemopreventive agents on energy and metabolism signalling. She integrates her translational research programme with her clinical practice as a consultant colorectal surgeon at the Western General Hospital. Her contribution to translational research clinical surgery and training was recognised by the Hunter Doig Medal in 2015. She is on the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ and Tenovus research committees. At a national level, Farhat has contributed to the NICE committee on FIT and contributes to cancer prevention networks including the ECMC- UK Therapeutic Cancer Prevention Network. Farhat was appointment Scotland's first Colorectal Cancer Surgical Research Chair from April 2023, a joint appointment between ºìÐÓÊÓƵ and Bowel Cancer UK.

Professor Robin Paton is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon (with a special interest in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery) and was first elected to the council in 2016. He holds an Honorary Chair at the Medical School at UCLAN and was awarded the King James IV Professorship from the college in 2016. A keen interest in surgical training has resulted in him being voted the 'North West Orthopaedic Trainer of the Year' on two occasions. A Fellow of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers, he has a continuing interest in undergraduate/postgraduate education and surgical research. In addition to being an examiner, he has helped to develop the Intercollegiate and International FRCS (T & O) examinations over the past 20 years.

Professor Grant T McIntyre is an NHS Consultant and Honorary Professor in Orthodontics and Joint Clinical Director at Dundee Dental Research Hospital & School. Within the College, Grant is an examiner for MFDS and MOrth and has been a Member of Dental Council since 2014. Grant's clinical work involves the orthodontic management of facial deformity, TMJ-orthognathic cases and cleft lip and palate along with being an Educational Supervisor and Clinical Supervisor for a number of Core and Specialty Trainees. Grant's research work relates to evidence-based clinical care, cleft lip and palate, and imaging, with his research interests involving supervision of Masters and PhD students with over 110 publications to date.

Jana is an Associate Project Manager and a Chartered Building Surveyor with extensive experience working with heritage clients in England and Scotland including the National Galleries of Scotland, Victoria & Albert Museum, and Loch Lomond Golf Club.  Her expertise includes managing complex conservation projects for Category A and B listed buildings across the Central Belt of Scotland, such as refurbishment of the ground and first floor galleries of the Scottish National Gallery building in Edinburgh, designed by Playfair. Jana is also a trustee of the Glasgow Building Preservation Trust, reflecting her commitment to heritage preservation.

Eilidh is a Director at Page\Park Architects with 21+ years of experience managing complex estates projects within a heritage setting, including masterplans for Fyvie Castle & Estate, Summerlee Museum of Industrial Life, and the National Mining Museum of Scotland. Her expertise spans strategic leadership, sustainability, and community engagement. Eilidh’s board experience with the National Mining Museum Scotland and Architecture & Design Scotland highlights her commitment to advancing heritage initiatives, making her a valuable addition to the Heritage Committee.

Associate Director, Collections & Digital at the Wellcome Collection, Daniel oversees the strategic development of collections management, digital, digitisation and collections development of Wellcome’s varied archival, library and object collections. Previously, as Head of Collections Services at Royal Museums Greenwich he managed collections care and digital preservation projects worth over £90m. At Derby Museums, he contributed to strategic planning and the £16.4m Museum of Making project. Daniel's extensive experience with complex collections, including human remains, positions him as an ideal advisor for the development of ºìÐÓÊÓƵ's collections.
